Guest Lecture: Technology Disrupting Doctor’s Lives

A one-hour session on the topic “Technology Disrupting Doctor’s Lives” was organized by the Department of Kayachikitsa, FIMS on January 29, 2019, at the Auditorium of Medical Hospital. The occasion was graced by honorable Dr. Kamlesh Kohli (Director, Medical and Health Sciences), Dr. Ravinder Kumar Arahunsi (Dean, FIMS), Dr. Avnish Pathak (DMS, FIMS). The faculty members of FIMS and the students of 3rd and 4th year were the main audiences for the session.
The program started with a lamp lighting ceremony and Dhanvantri Vandana followed by a few enlightening words from a woman of distinct vision, Dr. Kamlesh Kohli Ma’am.
Further, the session was started by Dr. Bhushan, who is Product Strategy Head with USA based software company-Round glass-Curofy helps 3 lacs doctors around India which include 48,000 Ayurvedic doctors to network, interact and collaborate on clinical cases.
Till then, 3.5 lac clinical cases were discussed on this platform. He wanted to make Ayurvedic doctors aware of the use of technology efficiently. How can we resolve the undiagnosed cases quickly and provide our patient’s with better diagnosis and hence treatment?
It was a very informative session especially as far as the budding doctors are concerned. The 45 minutes session was concluded with the announcement of code for the online quiz competition, the winner of which was announced later and were awarded a prize worth Rs. 1000.
