Yogakshema 2021

The webinar was organized focusing on the current pandemic situation, scope for rehabilitation through Yoga in the educational institutions and remedial steps taken to uphold the optimum health and wellness through AYUSH Systems of Medicine.

Yogakshema-2021 an International webinar on Role of Yoga as rehabilitative care in Covid-19 pandemic was planned and organized jointly by Department of Swasthavritta & Yoga, Faculty of Indian Medical & Faculty of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences, SGT University. It was planned as part of International Day of Yoga celebration. Webinar was scheduled from 11 AM to 1PM on 18th June 2021. Webinar was started with introductory address by Dr. Bharat Vats, Associate professor Dept. of Swasthavritta & Yoga, Later Dr. Sangeeth S. Dean, Faculty of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences welcomed the gathering and highlighted importance of theme of webinar. 1st speaker Dr. Kashinath Samagundi Associate professor, NIA Jaipur was welcomed and introduced by Dr. Yagyik Mishra, Assistant professor Dept. of Swasthavritta & Yoga. Dr. Kashinath in his presentation highlighted about impact of Covid 19 and role of Yoga in it. Dr. Kashinath showed video demonstration of some yogic exercises.  2nd lecture was delivered by Dr. Apar Avinash Saoji, Principal, School of Yoga & Naturopathy, SVYASA Bangalore. Dr. Apar Saoji mainly highlighted on scientific studies done on different yogic techniques and how it can be useful in Covid 19 pandemic. This session was moderated by Dr Monika, Assistant professor Dept. of Swasthavritta & Yoga. The session was ended by  Vote of thanks by Jyoti Kumbar Associate Dean & Prof. Faculty of Indian Medical System, SGT University.
