International Women’s Day-2022

A Mega Stree Roga Camp was conducted by Dept of Prasuti Tantra & Stree Roga of Faculty of Indian Medical System, SGT Ayurved Hospital on the occasion of “International Women’s Day-2022” on 8/3/2022. Women in India face serious health concerns which ultimately affect the progress of the nation. But due to hesitation and lack of awareness, a lot of women especially teenagers do not go to the doctor. This ignorance makes their diseases more vulnerable putting their health problems under the category of incurable diseases. Keeping this in mind, a free health checkup camp was organized for the adolescent girls and female staff members of New Shishu Kalyan senior secondary public school, Chandu under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Prasanna Savanur, Dean FIMS and Prof. (Dr.) Avnish Pathak, MS, SGT Ayurved Hospital. Around 150 ladies were thoroughly examined by the expert consultants of SGT Ayurved hospital, Prof. (Dr.) Jyoti Kumbar, Dr. Sheetal Minhas, Dr. Himani Gupta and Dr. Nikita Jaiswal and relevant treatment with diet was advised. Students of 3rd and 4th year BAMS, Interns, RMOs actively participate in the event. Free Ayurveda medicines were distributed during the camp. The students were oriented about the menstrual hygiene and other common gynecological conditions. The final year students demonstrated the Yoga postures beneficial in different gynecological conditions.  Mr. Umesh Kumar, Principal of the New Shishu Kalyan senior secondary public school and other staff members co-operated in smooth conduction of the camp.
