Quiz Competition on "Knowledge is a Treasure and Practice is the key to it"

“Knowledge is a treasure and practice is the key to it” Keeping in mind this thought, a quiz was organized by the dept. of Kayachikitsa, FIMS, SGT University for the final year students so as to invoke the spirit of healthy competition among them. 3 teams participated in it comprising of 3 students each. The quiz consisted of 4 rounds. 1st round was about the examination of the patient. 2nd round was consisted of diagnosis based questions, in the third round question from pharmacology were displayed. 4th round consisted of practical demonstration of different tests helpful in diagnosis of the patients. Rules and regulation were priorly informed to the students. Dr. Parveen Yadav Assistant Professor, Kayachikitsa conducted the Quiz in a very interactive and interesting way. Keeping in view the inclusion of whole class in the competition, questions were asked from students sitting in the audiences. The question was passed to audiences, when no team was able to answer the question correctly. They skill fully and enthusiastically answered the questions. The students displayed ecstatic spirit and enjoyed the quiz to the fullest. Prizes were given to the students in the audiences also, who answered correctly. Three students won the prize named as Sonika, Sheetal and Rifakat. The evolving curious minds that emerged as winners were Tushar , Kamal and Usman . All the three participants from the winning team were presented with special Prizes to encourage them and invoke the inquisitiveness among other students of the class with the floating thought “If u have the knowledge, let other’s light their candles in it.
