Workshop on Learn Samskrit – The Language of Ayurveda

Gyanamrit Association, FIMS, SGTU in association with Sanskrit Promotion Foundation, New Delhi, organized a 5 day workshop “Learn Samskrit – The Language of Ayurveda” from 3rd Feb to 7th Feb 2020.
The workshop was inaugurated on 03-02-2020 at 10.00 a.m by Prof. Dr. Shyam Lal Singla, Pro Chancellor, SGTU in the presence of Ravindra Kumar Arahunsi , Dean, FIMS, Dr. Anupam Sharma, Advisor, Dr. Supriya Gupta, Member, Mr. Partap Chand Shastri, Member, Gyanamrit Association, FIMS and other Faculty members of FIMS.
The guest and deligates were welcomed by Dr. B Kothainayagi, Co Advisor, Gyanamrit Association. Prof.Dr. Shyam Lal Singla, Pro Chancellor, SGTU, highlighted on the importance of Samskrit language.
The resource persons, Mr. Laxmi Narasimhan, Executive officer, Samskrit Promotion Foundation, Dr. Apoorva Sharma, Senior Research Officer and Teacher’s trainer, Samskrit Promotion Foundation , Dr. Umakant Tiwari, Senior Research Officer, Samskrit Promotion Foundation were felicitated by Prof Dr. Shyam Lal Singla, Pro Chancellor, SGTU, Dean, FIMS, SGTU.
The programme ended with vote of thanks by Dr. Avinash Chaudhary, Co advisor, Gyanamrit
Association. The whole programme was organized by the Student Members of Gyanamrit Association. The Inaugural Session was followed by the workshop.
Day 2 – The session was conducted by Dr. Umakant Tiwari on the practical utility of Samskrit Grammar and its application in Ayurvedic literature which was further conducted by Dr. Apoorva Sharma.
Day 3 started with the Dhanvantari Vandana enchanted by the BAMS students followed by the session of Dr. Umakant Tiwari on the application of Sanskrit Grammar in Ayurvedic literature. It was further continued by Dr. Apoorva Sharma.
Day 4- The workshop started with an interactive session on “Sandhi”. The last session for the day was conducted by Dr. Chand Kiran Saluja, that was attended by all faculty members and BAMS students.
Day 5 – Commenced with “Parayanam of Ashtanga Hridayam”. The session on “Samasa” & “Kaaraka” was conducted by Dr. Apoorva Sharma and Dr. Umakant Tiwari. The session concluded with a valedictory function, graced by Dean, FIMS Dr. Ravindra Kumar Aruhansi. The summary of the whole event was presented by Ms. Aakansha, student member (BAMS 2nd Year) of the Gyanamrit Association. Feedback for the event of the workshop was given by the participants of the
workshop. The session was concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Dikshant, President,  Gyanamrit Association
