Medicinal Plant Sapling preparation at Herbal garden

FIMS has privilege of developing a Medicinal Herbal Garden with different plants species which is a part of the curriculum. The main purpose of the herbal garden is to educate students about importance of medicinal plants. The herbal garden also facilitates conservation of rare and endangered herbal plants.

Along with this the outdoor Green campaign initiative steps are taken for cultivation and conservation of Medicinal plants at various schools, colleges, and nearby villages, by defining the importance of the medicinal value and distributing the samples to school and college students as well as to villagers.

It includes Medicinal plants like Tulsi (Ocimum scantum) Linn., Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia) Willd.Miers. Ex Hook. Nirgundi (Vitex nigundo) Linn saplings. These herbs apart from Ayurvedic benefits also have been well recognized in scientific literature for their immunomodulatory, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, aromatherapy and other medicinal properties. The Herbal Garden will serve as an important tool for teaching and research in the future.
