Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end. The Faculty of Indian Medical System hosted a Farewell Party for its First Batch of “Ayurvedacharya” on Wednesday, 27.01.2021. The event was graced by the presence of Prof. Vinod Kumar (Honourable Vice Chancellor, SGTU), Prof. Shareef Ahamad (Honourable Pro-Vice Chancellor, SGTU), Prof. Ravi Rao (Dean FIMS, SGTU) & Prof. Avnish Pathak (HOD, Shalya Tantra Dept. SGTU).
The event started with a welcome note by Dr. Konica Gera (Asst. Prof., Dept. of Samhita Siddhant, SGTU) followed by seeking the blessings of Lord Dhanwantri & Lamp Lightening by the Luminaries & the Students of FIMS. Students of the Graduating Batch received their Certificates & mementoes from the dignitaries along with their blessings & Good wishes.
Graduates were given the stage to express their heart which carried mixed emotions of joy of completing their degree along with the pain of saying a goodbye. Dr. Monika (Student from Graduating Batch) shared her emotional state with a heavy heart & thanked the University and the faculties for shaping her in a beautiful way. Dr. Shrey (Student from Graduating Batch) lightened the moods with his wit & shared his journey as a SGTian. Dr. Vidhi (Student from Graduating Batch) evoked the spirit of sincerity & gratitude with her words. Prof. Shareef Ahamad (Honourable Pro-Vice Chancellor) encouraged the students by citing the new horizons waiting for them on completion of their degree & wished them a Good Luck in their future prospects. Prof. Vinod Kumar (Honourable Vice Chancellor) took the floor & not only motivated the Graduates but also guided them to keep their eyes on the stars & feet on the ground as the more grounded they will remain, the higher they will fly.
Prof. Ravi Rao (Dean, FIMS) addressed the gathering with inspiring thoughts which evoked the spirit of passion & dedication among the newly emerged Vaidyas, ready to enter the field. Prof. Avnish Pathak (HOD, Dept. of Shalya Tantra) shared his feelings with the students & proposed the Vote of thanks.
