Faculty of Indian Medical System conducted a Health awareness talk on “Eye Care” on 22.10.21 for the Teachers & Students of 6th to 8th grade at Government Senior Secondary School Budhera, Gurugram as a part of the series of events under the theme of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”. Prof. (Dr.) Jyoti Kumbar, Associate dean, FIMS, SGT University was the invited Chief Guest at the event. The talk was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Anupama Patra, Head, Department of Shalkaya tantra, FIMS, SGT University.
Dr. Patra sensitized masses on the daily regime guidelines as per the Ayurveda with emphasis on the diet for good eyesight and benefits of oil pulling. Dr. Yogesh, (Asst. Prof., Dept. of Swasthvritta, FIMS, SGTU) demonstrated eye exercises for better vision. Feedback is an important step in health education programme which was taken by Dr. Himani Gupta (Asst. Prof., Dept. of PTSR, FIMS, SGTU) which revealed that the interactive session was informative for the students & the staff members. The event was co-ordinated by Dr.Avinash , Dr.Himani Gupta, Dr.Yagyik Mishra, Dr.Praveen Yadav and Dr.Yogesh with the help of Mr. Sagar, Ms. Chhavi, Ms. Nivedita and Mr. Dharmendra (students of BAMS 3rd year, FIMS, SGTU).
