Department of Kaumarabhritya of FIMS conducted a webinar on 25th february 2022 titled “ Breastfeeding and related Sūtika paricharyā” .The guest speaker for the event was Dr Mithila Amin, working as Associate Professor in Department of Kaumarabhritya in D Y Patil School of Ayurveda, Navi Mumbai. The event was started with welcome speech by Dr Aparna Dileep, Assistant Professor, followed by a welcome note by Dr Neeraj Kumar Gupta, Associate Professor. Further Dr. Aparna Dileep gave the brief introduction of Dr. Mithila Amin, the guest speaker of the event who is an eminent academician and researcher and has a vast experience of propagating her knowledge through various national and international platforms. Along with the academic excellence, she had been awarded as the university Gold Medalist from DY Patil University. She grabbed the best thesis award from KLEU BMK Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya She is also Kishore Ratna Awardee for Academic excellence from AAPNA. Along with numerous publications, to her . . . . . . credit, the most prominent one is being chapter contribution in IAP textbook of vaccinology. After completion of Post-graduation, she gained experience and expertise in pediatrics, by working for more than 7 years in centres like Chandrajyoti Pediatric hospital, Rainbow Pediatric multispeciality clinic and Dhanvantri hospital. Madam shared her immense knowledge over “ Breastfeeding and related Sūtika paricharyā”. The programme was concluded by Dr. Sarika Trimbak Shinde, Professor and Head of the department. The session was brought to an end by Dr Neeraj Kumar Gupta with vote of thanks. More than 60 participants registered for this event and gained knowledge regarding the effect of Sūtika paaricharyā on breastfeeding.
